Wasted opportunities: problematic drug and alcohol use among MSM

This presentation of qualitative data from our Wasted opportunities study outlined the ways in which gay and bisexual men use drugs and alcohol to facilitate social and sexual encounters, and to help deal with social or sexual unease. In addition to the harms caused by problematic drug and alcohol use, the perceived norm of drug use within the gay community was discussed and considered in light of mens attempts to try and manage their drug use.
